I know what you're thinking, and no, this restaurant has nothing to do with Ralph Nader, unless of course, he likes the idea of a home-cooked Italian supper, in a cozy space with waiters who fuss over you as though you're a long lost relative. The menu is down-home Italian and includes penne a la vodka with asparagus cooked in a pink tomato sauce with imported vodka, and a lemon sole amandine cooked in a lemon wine sauce and served with roasted almonds. Daily specials such as osso buco Milanese, or blackened big-eye Honolulu tuna over arugula with sesame dressing are just two of the reasons why reservations are strongly advised. The wine list is quite impressive with selections from across the globe including a Callanan's Road Mornington Peninsula Shiraz, from Victoria, Australia for under $35, and a Masi, Masianco from Veneto, Italy.

We stumbled upon Bravo Nader this past week and stopped for lunch. We were greated by Nader and his first sentence to us was, "Thank you for coming". He was visable throughout the meal and stopedto chat tableside a few times throughout the meal. And he is teaching his staff to do the same. Everyone was VERY attentive. The food was hands down, FABULOUS!!!!! We can't wait to go back. Wonderful find!!

Can we say FABULOUS! We dined here this past Sunday on a last minute call and were treated like family from the minute we walked in to the second we left. The food here is amazing to say the least. I strongly recommend the lamb chops-They were the best I've ever had. The warm goat cheese salad was to die for as well. Nader, the chef/owner is the most accomodating genuine hearted man in the restaurant business and will be sure to take care of you. You cannot leave this place without trying Nader's homemade Napoleon...The best! This restuarant lives up to every award granted. We will definitely be back and have already recommended Bravo! Nader to family and friends.
Thanks again Nader- Sincerely, Geoff and Vanessa

Hands down my favorite restaurant year after year. The food is outragous. If you read the menu and don't know what you want, just wait, because the specials list is always huge. If you still don't know what you want, they will ask you what you're in the mood for. The service is upscale treatment but friendly and comfortable. The place itself is cozy and the small size is part of the charm. I would be sad if they ever expanded. The place is perfection.

Dining at Bravo Nader in Huntington is like dining at a good friends home, if your friend happens to be a gourmet chef. Nader is a warm and welcoming host who uses only the freshest and finest ingredients in the most delectable ways. Every morsel is to be savored and enjoyed. Portions are plentiful, and specials are the way to go at Naders. We have never even looked at a menu. Among our favorites are the delicious soft shell crabs (in season), the "AMAZING" pork chops, the braised short ribs, the tender fried calamari, and a personal favorite. the gnocchi pesto. The fish are all hand picked (and sometomes caught) by Nader himself. The grand finale, the homemade napoleon is not to be missed. The list could go on and on. Bravo Nader is our favorite italian restaurant unparalled in food and service. If you go once you'll find yourself with a happy new addiction.

As members of the James Beard Foundation, we have experienced dining with some of the best chefs from across the country and some of the most prolific chefs in Manhattan. However, when we want wonderful food locally, we go to Bravo! Nader. Attentive service, carefully selected wines, and food prepared with respect for tradition, seasonality, and creativity provide a dining experience that rivals any that we have had in the City.
